Take 5 With Mo Willems

Our friend Mo Willems, author of the Pigeon books, Elephant and Piggie and much, much more is the 1st ever artist in residence at the Kennedy Center, and he is bringing us lunch doodles every weekday!

Visit the Kennedy Center website to access this fun for-kids content where he brings us into his home studio and shows us how to draw some of his favorite characters! Your family can even send questions and drawings, which might air during future doodles.

What else can you do with Mo and his books?

  1. Find more great content at his website where you can download and print activity sheets, play games, and watch videos!
  2. Love his Pigeon books and want to learn more about real pigeons — and other cool stuff, too? Use your Niles-Maine library card and visit the World Book for Kids database for kid safe content about animals, people, history, and more.
  3. Use your Niles-Maine library card to explore hoopla and Kanopy Kids to listen to audiobooks and watch videos featuring Mo’s stories. You can even listen to Youtuber A.M and P.M. Storytime read The Pigeon Wants a Puppy.
