Register and Vote: It’s Not Too Late…

There’s still time to register to vote in the upcoming election on November 8! Grace Period Registration and Voting opened on October 12, and extends until November 7, the day before the election. Visit the Cook County Clerk website for a list of locations where you can still register and vote, all in one visit. The closest location to Niles is the Skokie Courthouse:

To register and vote during the grace period, you must bring 2 forms of identification. Teens: As long as you will turn 18 by the day of the election (November 8) you are eligible to register and vote. You will vote immediately after registering, so come prepared! Much of the media attention this election cycle has focused on the office of president, but important state and county races – including senators, representatives, judges, and a proposed amendment to the Illinois Constitution – will be decided, as well. For a sample ballot that includes all the races and ballot initiatives for your area, visit the Cook County Voter Information page and fill in your address.

Vote early and often; it’s a Chicago tradition!*
