In Memory of Mary Tyler Moore: 1936-2017

She might be best known as the girl who turned on the world with her smile, but Moore was also an award-winning film actress (she won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal as a grieving mother in 1980’s Ordinary People).  Though, the mark she made on 1960s (The Dick Van Dyke Show) and 1970s (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) television comedy is purely legendary.
