The title says it all!
We’re excited to finally open our newly renovated 2nd floor. You’ll find our Fiction collection, as well as, CDs, DVDs, Audiobooks, and more.
What do you think of the new lights?
Surprise, we have more furniture to sell!
Stop by the Niles Library on Saturday, July 20 from 9:30am-12pm. We’re selling office chairs, upholstery chairs, shelving units, and more. All priced to sell.
The sale will take place at the Niles Public Library Lower Level, 6960 Oakton St., Niles, IL 60714. All items are cash or credit and carry. All items are sold as is.
The good news is that the Niles Public Library is at the half way point of our year-long renovation project.
The exciting news is that beginning the week of July 22, the newly remodeled 2nd level (formerly the Reference and computer lab floor) will reopen with many comfortable, bright places to read, work or just browse the Fiction, DVDs, CDs and Audiobook collections.
The inconvenient news is that access to that beautiful new space and our beautiful 3rd floor area will be a bit of a treasure hunt. Getting to the computers, the Reference and Nonfiction on the third floor and the materials on the newly opened 2nd floor will temporarily be via our back stairs. There will be plenty of signs and staff available to guide and assist you. The alternative route will be worth it once you see the great new spaces.

Gabrielle says, “Come for the laughs and good memories. “This play is a lot about accepting people for who they are!” says Rohini.
