Playbill of 2013 has been in pre-production for approximately several days now! Basically, if you don’t know what Playbill is, it is a magical show of creative chaos…well, I say chaos pertaining to this year…but Playbill is a play put on by teens your age! And as I was saying before about the creative chaos… this year a large group of teens have written a script of a musical in high school that goes all wrong—thus, I called Playbill for this year a creative chaos. :)

“I am sitting here, getting a behind the scenes look of the 2013 Playbill. The script writing process is in, well, progress, and I can hear the teens’ heads ticking with much thinking. But enough about what I have say—

There  are a few people that have some spectacular words to sputter out at you—-to inspire you to join and/or watch the playbill show of 2013!”

Robbie: “Kids in school trying to put on a show but face LOTS of challenges. Funny, realistic comedy for high schoolers!”

Gabrielle: “I love playbill…I come for the laughs and good memories. This is one of the highlights of my summer! I wish I had started sooner.”

Rohini: “I joined last year because a friend told me to, and I came back because I wanted to. It is fun and progress is picking up speed. This play is a lot about accepting people for who they are!”

Join us at the Niles Public Library this Saturday (July 21) for a performance of an original play that has been written and produced by local teens! The Dinklebergs: Road Trip to Nowhere is a 30-minute comedy about a family road trip gone awry. Teenage hipster Brent introduces us to his quirky family: Mom’s obsessed with Twilight, his sister Melissa is obsessed with his best friend, Grandma and Grandpa (or Glozelle & Papa G, as they prefer to be called) refuse to act their age, and Dad doesn’t care about anything. Soon they’re stuck in the car on the way to a family reunion in far off Ar-Kan-Sas, and the GPS is acting a little strangely…

When: July 21, at 11:00am
Where: Large Meeting Room, 6960 W. Oakton St. Niles.
