Bring your own cards for our Holiday Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament. Win prizes!  Snack on tasty goodies!

A lot of our contestants enjoy displaying and trading cards.  Just be careful to keep an eye on your cards throughout the tournament, so that none “walk off.”

There are two ways to sign up and log your books:

1) Log your books online here.  Then, review and rate the books you’ve read.

2) Pick up a book log at the Fiction or Reference service desks. Once completed, return your log and pick up a prize at the Fiction or Reference desks.

The winner of our annual Teen Read Week Art Contest is Anna Koziol of Niles, IL.  Here is her winning artwork:

Enter the Niles Public Library District’s Teen Read Week “Picture It” Art Contest by October 14!  Your original artwork could decorate the library and this blog.

Entries will be judged by the Teen Advisory Board and displaeyd at a public reception on October 30.  Finalists will appear online, and first place will also receive a $50 gift card.

The sun has finally come out, school is almost done with for the year, and Summer Reading is almost upon us.

Our Summer Reading program kicks off June 6.  Sign up, read 4 books and you could win an iPod Touch and other prizes (like free food, free books, movies and maybe even a cool t-shirt).
