nanowrimoNovember is National Novel Writing Month!  Last year, more than people 119,000 people registered at www.nanowrimo.org/  and attempted to write a 50,000 word novel between Nov. 1-30.  More than 21,000 people completed their novel!  NaNoWriMo is all about writing as much as you can, for fun.  No editing (you can edit in December)!

Celebrate at the library with our kick-off party on Tuesday, November 3.  Meet other writers, get writing tips, and try out some fun writing exercises.

When: 6:30-8:30pm, Tues. Nov. 3
Where: Board Room, 6960 W. Oakton, Niles

Anyone 13 and older can register and participate.  There’s also a Young Writers Program that has made some really cool writing resources available, for free!  Check out the 100% non-lame writers’ workbooks for middle and high school students.

About Donna B

Hi! My main hangout in the Library is the Teen Underground, but you'll find me wandering all over the building. Originally from Northeast Iowa, I've lived in the Chicago area long enough that people don't tell me I sound like a character from "Fargo" anymore. I geek out on ginger ale and black licorice, Pottermore sorted me into Slytherin, and if I were a dog I'd be a shiba inu.
